FAQs

We have put together some frequently asked questions and answers. Should this not do the trick please call or email us, and we will be happy to help.

Do you charge service?

We add a 10% optional, discretionary service charge to all bills. This goes directly to all staff, front and back of house who will be looking after you.

Do we allow children in the restaurant and pub?

Children of any age in both the pub and restaurant during the day and evening. Please just help us by ensuring they are not steaming round the place causing havoc!! Much thanks!

Do we have disabled access?

Yes, we have a disabled entrance. We don’t have a disabled toilet as yet but intend to install as part of our major refurb early 2023.

Can we just pop in for a drink?

Absolutely and with your dog! The restaurant and pub are nicely separated and as such the village pub has been retained. Food can be served in the pub area (but we don’t take reservations for this area) and so it is a wonderful environment in which to just come and have a drink and a bite to eat.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes in the pub, certain parts of the restaurant and of course the pub garden. We even serve ‘Dog Treats’ in the pub.

Do we have a car park?

Yes, with space for around 25 cars. There is plenty of car parking on the street should this be full.

Do we take parties?

Yes we do. For group or party bookings, please email royaloak@cambscuisine.com mentioning your preferred date, venue and number of guests.

Do we have rooms?

We don’t but please call us since we know some local guest houses which should do the trick. Our sister restaurant, The Crown and Punchbowl at Horningsea has 9 delightful rooms.
